The Encinitas General Plan has not undergone a major comprehensive update since its adoption in 1989. To ensure our General Plan continues to be a useful tool, the City has embarked on a Comprehensive General Plan Update to keep pace and provide workable solutions to the issues facing the City, such as sustainable communities, climate change, storm water cleansing, and green building.
